Buchwald is famous for it’s Baumkuchen, or Treecake, a finely layered butter cake covered in chocolate. I didn’t have this though as the waitress said it has marzipan layers in it which I have to admit Ive never been that keen on , though a slice of Battenberg cannot go amiss.
